Helmuth Aberer, MBA
Co-Founder
​
Helmuth Aberer is passionate about collaborating with management teams to create innovative solutions. He is an entrepreneur and advisor with a strong finance and business coaching background. He has experience in both large international corporations as well as in innovative start-ups.
Since 2016, he co-founded Cognito Hub Limited, a consulting company, Cayan Educational Design Limited, an educational company, as well as Min Learning Systems Inc., an AI edtech company.

Helmuth was formerly an international banker working in the USA, Europe, and Asia (see LinkedIn).
He holds three Master’s degrees, separately, in finance, political economy, and international politics from New York University, Science Po in Paris, and University of St.Gallen, Switzerland, respectively.
He was also a project leader for a Red Cross project in Kenya during the Young Europe Africa (YEA) expedition from 1985 to 1986. As a certified RYA Coastal Yachtmaster, he enjoys the excitement of sailing regattas as it involves intensive team work as well as tactical and strategic decisions based on sailing and technical skills.

Catherine McBride, PHD

Dr. Catherine McBride (Cammie), Incoming Associate Dean for Research for the College of Health and Human Sciences of Purdue University, USA, and Emeritus Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), is an expert on literacy development and impairment around the world. She is the founding and past President of the Association for Reading and Writing in Asia (ARWA), past President of the Society for the Scientific Study of Reading (SSSR) and past Associate Dean for Research at CUHK.
She is the author of five books on different aspects of literacy development and impairment: Coping with Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and ADHD, A Global Perspective (2019); The Routledge International Handbook of Early Literacy Education (2017); Children’s Literacy Development: A Cross-Cultural Perspective on Learning to Read and Write (2016); Children’s Literacy Development (2004); Reading Development in Chinese Children (2003).
Together with World Learning and CUHK, she has created a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) “Teaching Struggling Readers Around the World” with approximately 10,000 students in over 100 countries having participated. She has given keynote lectures and has consulted on the topic of literacy enhancement for many organisations in Asia, Europe and USA (www.cammiemcbride.com).
